Independent wedding Celebrant with a passion for story-telling

Unique and engaging ceremonies for your special day

The ceremonial part of your wedding is the perfect way to set the scene and vibe for your special day. My unique way with words and capturing the beauty and essence of your love story will be an engaging and insightful portrayal of the love shared and the intentions for your union into marriage.

What to expect with a wedding celebrant?

I spend as much time as necessary getting to know and understand you both; your story, how you met, what makes your relationship so unique and what this commitment and partnership means to you both. I listen to your hopes and desires for the day and create a bespoke and heart-warming service to reflect this. I focus on telling your love story in a concise and creative way; engaging and heartwarming for both you and your guests alike. I work tirelessly to ensure every detail is covered and every moment is special. Please also feel assured that I will not tire of any changes made along the way, once you are happy I will be happy and the day will be magical.

Julie is an amazing celebrant! I recently attended a ceremony of hers which was both extremely humourous and romantic. It was obvious she had got to know the bride and groom really well and represented them very authentically. – Tim Rabjohns

What is the cost of a wedding celebrant?

I charge £620 per wedding which includes the following:

– Our initial get together (ideally in person) which can last anywhere between 1-3 hours
– The presentation (ideally in person again) of my proposed script.
– Unlimited updates to ‘the script’ until it’s perfect.
– Liasing and finalising details with any loved ones to be included in the ceremony.
– The dress rehearsal and run through of the full service if desired.
– Officiating the full ceremony on the day; leading and delivering the service.
– Ensuring all ceremonial elements are taken care of from beginning to end.
– Order of service for the day printed as a PDF
– Beautiful commemorative certificate of the day.

Our friends’ wedding ceremony last weekend was the first ceremony I’ve ever been to where I wanted it to last longer!! Normally I start getting twitchy 15 minutes in but Julie was able to make it so entertaining and enjoyable and involving the guests made us all feel part of it!! Would definitely recommend her to others!! – Sarah Fox

Elements to consider for your wedding ceremony

• The location; a forest, a secluded beach, your back garden, anywhere you like!
• What (if any) traditional, cultural or spiritual elements to include such as handfasting.
• Your intended vows to one another.
• Any Poems, songs or readings to be included.
• Anyone who may want to contribute in some way and how.
• Your guests and what journey you would like to take them on.

Is a celebrant wedding legally binding?

A celebrant wedding is not legally binding, although I’m happy to report this is currently being discussed and may hopefully change in the future. As a celebrant, I am not able to legally marry you, despite the fact all the same elements may be included such as exchange of rings, the vows and first kiss (to name but a few). Most couples book a slot at a local registry office, which usually costs around £50-£60, either before or after the celebrant-led event.
